OHI project interviewed Dan Bricklin in 17th July, 2019 in Boston.
Dan Bricklin, often referred to as “The Father of the Spreadsheet”, is the American co-creator, with Bob Frankston, of the VisiCalc spreadsheet program, which became the commercial program for the most popular personal computers at the time and the pioneer of PC commercial software.
The real hurricane of personal computers is made by the Apple II. The important propeller for the success of the Apple II is the VisiCalc.
Dan Bricklin also founded Software Garden, Inc., of which he is currently president, and Trellix Corporation. He currently serves as the chief technology officer of Alpha Software.
